  • Mat Jodrell is one of Australia’s most internationally respected jazz trumpeters, known for his powerful sound, musical versatility, and deep connection to the jazz tradition.

    After early success in Perth, he built an acclaimed career in New York, performing with leading ensembles including the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, Mingus Big Band, and projects by Miguel Zenón and Ryan Truesdell.

    A graduate and former faculty member of The Juilliard School in New York, Jodrell is also a highly regarded educator. Now based in Australia, he leads his own groups and continues to tour, compose, and inspire audiences with expressive, modern jazz.
